Blade detail:

D2 tool steel can be heat treated to a hardness of 55–62 HRC. It has mild corrosion resistance in the hardened condition due to its high chromium content. It is highly resistant to wear and abrasion. D2 tool steel is commonly used in long production, cold work applications, and high wear applications. It is also a popular choice for knife blade steel.
